Michael's New Toy
Michael has been asking us for a bike, so because he is so darn cute and we love him, we bought him one. And he loves it.

ZOO!
On Saturday Michael, Kelli, and I went to the zoo with my Mom, sister-in-law, Jesse, and my two nieces. It was fun to get out and enjoy the sun and see the animals. My favorite animal was the monkeys.

It's Summer...Finally!
WELCOME SUMMER! I guess that the weather was waiting to warm up until the calendar said it was officially summer. And since it has been SO nice outside, we have definitely taken advantage of it! Who knows how long it will stay!! Michael has been in the pool almost everyday this week. He loves it and it keeps him entertained for hours.

Kelli, on the other hand, doesn't really care for it. Notice she is sitting beside the pool! :)

Happy 1st Birthday, Kelli Mae!

Happy Birthday, Kelli Mae!
I cannot believe how quickly this year has gone! Kelli is such a fun little girl. She has the cutest personality and is always making us laugh. She is very curious and every time I turn around, she is into something. She loves to empty her dresser drawers and my kitchen drawers. She loves to "read" books. Kelli's favorite time of day is bath time. Whenever she hears the water turn on, she heads straight to the bathroom with squeals. She would sit in the tub and play all day if I would let her. Her second favorite time of day is meal time. Although Kelli still has NO teeth, she loves to eat anything and everything. Her favorites at the moment are macaroni & cheese and rice. She adores Michael and is just starting to "wrestle" with him. And she can hold her own pretty well! She loves her Daddy and her first word was "Dada". Mitch thought it was pretty cool that she said his name first. She just started saying "Mama" with much coaching from me! She will walk holding onto furniture or hands, but has yet to take her "first steps". She loves to give hugs and kisses and is the sweetest little girl ever! We love her so much and are so glad that she is a part of our family!
On Sunday we celebrated her birthday with our families. I made her a "Fish" birthday cake because she loves to watch our fish swim around.

Just after she (I) blew out the candle.

Easter
What a gorgeous Spring day we were blessed with to celebrate Easter this year! It only seems fitting as Spring brings new life and Easter is the celebration of our Savior's life; He conquering death.
We were very excited to do our Easter egg hunt outside. Mitch hid the eggs while a very impatient Michael waited inside. It was all I could do to contain him. I think he found the eggs in record time!

She thought it was funny to put her bucket on her head and play peek-a-boo. She would peek out the bottom and giggle. It was so cute!
Michael needed a bigger bucket (or I needed to fill less eggs) because he was having a hard time keeping his eggs in the bucket. And he insisted that they all needed to go in the bucket. We tried to get him to put some in a plastic bag, but no way was that going to happen. He concentrated so hard trying to get them all to stay until finally...
Success! :)

Ready, Set, Go! Michael reaching for his first egg.

Success! :)We had such a fun day. Kids are great and it is so fun to watch their excitement about these simple traditions. But eggs and candy aside, I truly enjoy this holiday for what it represents: My Savior and Redeemer. His Life. I am so grateful for His sacrifice and for His Atonement for me. I know that My Redeemer Lives! What comfort this sweet sentence gives! He Lives! He lives who once was dead. He Lives! My everliving Head! Because of Jesus Christ and His resurrection, I know that I too will be resurrected and enjoy eternal life one day!
