We were very excited to do our Easter egg hunt outside. Mitch hid the eggs while a very impatient Michael waited inside. It was all I could do to contain him. I think he found the eggs in record time!
Ready, Set, Go! Michael reaching for his first egg.
She thought it was funny to put her bucket on her head and play peek-a-boo. She would peek out the bottom and giggle. It was so cute!
Michael needed a bigger bucket (or I needed to fill less eggs) because he was having a hard time keeping his eggs in the bucket. And he insisted that they all needed to go in the bucket. We tried to get him to put some in a plastic bag, but no way was that going to happen. He concentrated so hard trying to get them all to stay until finally...
Success! :)
We had such a fun day. Kids are great and it is so fun to watch their excitement about these simple traditions. But eggs and candy aside, I truly enjoy this holiday for what it represents: My Savior and Redeemer. His Life. I am so grateful for His sacrifice and for His Atonement for me. I know that My Redeemer Lives! What comfort this sweet sentence gives! He Lives! He lives who once was dead. He Lives! My everliving Head! Because of Jesus Christ and His resurrection, I know that I too will be resurrected and enjoy eternal life one day!
