Easter

What a gorgeous Spring day we were blessed with to celebrate Easter this year! It only seems fitting as Spring brings new life and Easter is the celebration of our Savior's life; He conquering death.

We were very excited to do our Easter egg hunt outside. Mitch hid the eggs while a very impatient Michael waited inside. It was all I could do to contain him. I think he found the eggs in record time!

Ready, Set, Go! Michael reaching for his first egg.

Kelli was content just sitting on the grass playing with her bucket and eggs.

She was eating the eggs until she discovered the goods inside. Sixlets! Mmmmm!

She thought it was funny to put her bucket on her head and play peek-a-boo. She would peek out the bottom and giggle. It was so cute!

Michael needed a bigger bucket (or I needed to fill less eggs) because he was having a hard time keeping his eggs in the bucket. And he insisted that they all needed to go in the bucket. We tried to get him to put some in a plastic bag, but no way was that going to happen. He concentrated so hard trying to get them all to stay until finally...

Success! :)

We had such a fun day. Kids are great and it is so fun to watch their excitement about these simple traditions. But eggs and candy aside, I truly enjoy this holiday for what it represents: My Savior and Redeemer. His Life. I am so grateful for His sacrifice and for His Atonement for me. I know that My Redeemer Lives! What comfort this sweet sentence gives! He Lives! He lives who once was dead. He Lives! My everliving Head! Because of Jesus Christ and His resurrection, I know that I too will be resurrected and enjoy eternal life one day!

Family Pictures March 2011

The last time we had family pictures taken was last summer and Kelli was 2 months old. So, for part of my birthday present this year, I wanted new ones. We usually go to JCPenney for our photos, but I wasn't very happy with our last ones. So, we decided to pay a little more to get "real" professional photos taken. I started looking around and doing research for good photographers in the area, and I remembered that my friend, Lachelle, had really cute family photos taken at Christmas. So I looked up that photographer and can I say, I AM SO GLAD THAT I DID! Natalie at Excursion Photography did a FANTASTIC job! If you are in need of new photos, I HIGHLY recommend her! It was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience and the pictures all turned out fabulous. I am having a hard time choosing my favorites. So, I need your help. Please leave me a comment and tell me which ones you like best. Thanks! Let me warn you, there are a lot. :)

Michael & Kelli

By the time we starting taking pictures of just the two of them, they were both tired and ready to be done. Here are the best ones. They are both looking at a lighted spinning toy she was holding above her head.

A BIG thanks to Natalie.
