Blue Thunder

On Saturday my parents invited us to go to the Blue Angels airshow at the Idaho Falls airport. We had been watching them practice all week since we live so close to the airport, but we were excited to be able to go to the actual show. Michael was so excited to see the "big airplanes".

Before the actual show started, we were able to walk around and look at a bunch of airplanes on display. Fed Ex had their airplane there, so Michael wanted to get a picture with "Daddy's airplane". Mitch was actually helping at the show at the Fed Ex display.

And Kelli got her own set of "Fed Ex" wings.

Michael and Grandpa Walker. This was one of Michael's favorite planes.

Michael and Daddy. This is Michael's other favorite plane.

Michael got to "fly" one of the planes. He didn't want to get out.

Michael kept saying that he wanted his "own" plane, so Grandma and Grandpa bought him his own. We tried to get him to choose one of the bigger Blue Angels plane, but he insisted on a smaller one with teeth (like the ones in the pictures above). It is hard to see in this picture, but he is showing off his very own plane. This plane has not left his sight since. He even has slept with it every night!

Here are some of my favorite pictures we were able to take at the airshow.

It was pretty cool to be at the actual airshow on Saturday, but on Sunday we were able to enjoy the show again from our very own backyard. I wasn't able to get a picture (I tried), but one of the Blue Angels flew right through our backyard and over our house. We felt the breeze as it flew by. If it had been going slower we would have been able to see the pilot's face!! It was incredible! These are some pictures we took from our backyard.

This is our neighbor's roof!

All six flying over our house.

This is number 6 landing. Those are our neighbor's trees!
It was an AMAZING show both on Saturday (thanks Dad and Mom) and on Sunday!

Family Pictures

On Monday we had family pictures taken. It is difficult with two children (one being a 2 year old) to get a REALLY good picture of all four of us. Here are the best ones.

I don't know why Michael is looking off to the right in every picture, but at least he is smiling! We did get some ADORABLE pictures of the kids.

Mitch's New Look

Mitch and one of his co-workers made a bet. This is the result.

This is what Kelli thought.

I agree! Luckily, the mustache lasted only a couple of hours.

Growing Up TOO Fast

Man, does time fly. Kelli is already 2 months old (as of the 4th). It seems like just yesterday that she was born. For that matter, it seems like Michael was just born and he is 2 1/2!! Anyway, an update on Kelli. She now weighs 11 lbs 2 oz and is 23 inches long. Her eyes are STILL blue and it looks as though they will stay that way!! She "talks" all the time and has the CUTEST smile. She now loves her swing and her bouncer, which is very helpful for me. She loves baths and laughs every time she is naked. She loves her big brother almost as much as he loves her. Michael absolutely adores her. He will come up and kiss her head and give her a hug and say, "I love you, Baby." It is the sweetest thing. He always wants to hold her and he tries to share his toys and crackers and chocolate milk with her! He is the best big brother. I may be a little biased, but I think that I have the CUTEST kids in the world. I am so proud to be their mommy!!

Kelli's Blessing, 4th of July and The Best 5 Years

Sunday was Kelli's blessing day and also she also turned 2 months! Mitch gave a beautiful blessing and we were honored to have all of our family and some close friends there to share her special day with us. Kelli looked absolutely beautiful in her dress and she didn't cry through the blessing! I can't believe how much she is growing. She is now such a happy baby and smiles and coos at us all the time. She is FINALLY sleeping more and will sleep for about 6-7 hours at night in her crib!! She is such a joy in our family and I thank my Heavenly Father every day for allowing me to be her mommy!

On Saturday we went to the greenbelt in Idaho Falls to watch the BEST fireworks show to celebrate the 4th of July and our freedom. We never miss them. This year we were able to enjoy them with ALL of our siblings and nieces and nephews. Michael LOVED them. And believe it or not, Kelli slept through the whole show!! There was a day I couldn't get her to sleep and now she can sleep through anything!! Then on Sunday, we lit our own fireworks at home. Mitch spent $80 on fireworks!! Michael was so excited when Mitch let him do the sparklers. I am so proud to be an American and am grateful for our wonderful country!

And today we celebrate our 5 year anniversary! It has been the BEST 5 years. I love you, Mitch, more and more every day and look forward to many more wonderful years with you. Thank you for being the best husband a girl could ask for!
