Cousins

Last week my sister, Jenni, and her two kiddos, Brooklyn and Daegan, came from Utah for a visit. We had a BBQ at my parents house and all of the grandchildren were there, so we attempted to take a picture of all five of them. This is the first attempt. As you can see there are only four. Daegan did not want his picture taken.

This is our second attempt. Daegan is still crying and Halle had had enough and was diving off of the couch! I guess we will have to try again next time we have all the kids together!
My parents have their own little "amusement park" set up on their deck and the kids spent hours riding the jet and the semi-truck. We had a big bowl of quarters and we just kept feeding the rides until all of the quarters were gone. They had a blast taking turns "driving" the truck and riding on the jet.

Later in the week, Michael and Brooklyn had a "pool party". They barely fit in my miniature splash pool, but they had fun.

And I found out that Michael's swim trunks are a little too big. I am glad I found out before we had him out in public!!
It was a fun week!!

ONE MONTH OLD!!

Kelli is one month old today! I can't believe how fast the time has gone. She now weighs 9 lbs 5 oz and is 20 3/4 inches long. She is such a little porker! All she does all day long is eat, it seems. She has the most beautiful blue eyes. I hope that they stay blue! She loves to take baths and loves Mommy to hold her. I love to hold her too, but she has gotten so used to being held that she cries if I put her down. I am getting some pretty big muscles! Even though she cries a lot, she is a sweet baby. She is starting to coo and I have noticed a tiny smile a few times. She hates her headbands, but I still put them on her every day because they are so cute!! Michael adores her. He always wants to hold her and kiss her. He even loves to help feed her. Sometimes he is a little rough with her, but she handles it pretty well. Kelli is such a blessing in our family. We love her so much!

Memorial Day Weekend

This weekend we went to Blackfoot to introduce Kelli to her namesake, my best friend Kelli, who was killed in a car accident in 2004. I am sure that they met in heaven though because as soon as I set Baby Kelli next to Kelli's headstone, Baby Kelli smiled. It was so sweet and brought tears to my eyes. I love you, Kelli! Both of you!!

We also went to the Tautphaus Park Zoo in Idaho Falls. It was so much fun and Michael absolutely loved it!
