Grandpa Who?

I just asked Michael to tell me his Grandmas' names. He responded with Grandma Sandy, Grandma Sue, and Grandma Decker. I asked him to tell me the names of his Grandpas and he responded with Grandma Sandy's Grandpa, Grandma Sue's Grandpa, and Grandma Decker's Grandpa. I laughed pretty hard. I guess I need to help him to learn their names.

24 Candles

On Saturday, I celebrated my 24th birthday. I feel so old. :) It started off great by Mitch getting up with Kelli so I could sleep in! BEST GIFT EVER! We had a pretty relaxing morning. That afternoon we had our family pictures taken. (I will post them in a couple of weeks). Then we took the kids to Mitch's parents so we could go on a date. We went to dinner at my favorite restaurant, The Olive Garden. And I ate way too much! But it's okay to do that on your birthday, right? Then we went to the movie "Just Go With It". It was HILARIOUS! I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. It is safe to say that it is probably my new favorite movie. And it was WONDERFUL to spend some alone time with my handsome hubby! It was a great day!

On Sunday we had our families over for cake and ice cream. Michael and Mitch picked out my birthday cake. Michael wanted to get me a Princess cake, but this was the closest they could find. I think it looks Princessy.

Michael helped me blow out my candles.
We used these cute plates that my brother-in-law, Bryan, gave me for Christmas.

Michael enjoyed his cake. It stained his teeth pink!

And Kelli enjoyed the cake that my mom fed her. Here she is squealing for more!
It was a GREAT day! Thank you to everyone who celebrated with me! Love you all!

Chrome in the Dome

On Friday we went to "Chrome in the Dome" at the Holt Arena in Pocatello. If you know Mitch, you know he LOVES cars. If you don't know Mitch, he LOVES cars. And Michael is following in his footsteps. Needless to say, my boys were in heaven. And I thought it was pretty cool myself.

Here are some of our favorite cars:

I definitely would drive this car if I had the chance.

We told Michael that if he really liked a car to tell us and we would take his picture by it. I probably took about 15 pictures of him by cars. He would run up to one, pose, and say "cheese".

This one was my favorite. I love the paint!

This was one of Mitch's favorites.

We had a great time! Thank you Dad for the tickets!

Extreme Makeover: Hair Edition

For my birthday this year I wanted to have my hair colored. Mitch was very agreeable since it would make his job of birthday shopping very easy.

This is my hair color before...
My really good friend, Kayla Bailey, is a fabulous hair stylist. She works at Centennial Salon off of Woodruff in Idaho Falls. If you are in need of a hair cut, color, etc. I highly recommend her. I wanted to go a little darker with some red.

This is how it turned out...
Mitch barely noticed the change, and I had imagined darker with more of a red tint, so the next day I went back and went darker.

This is now my hair color.
I absolutely love it! It is definitely an extreme makeover, and Mitch did notice this time. :) You can't see the red in this picture, but it is there! Thanks, Kayla! You are fabulous!

Bowling

Mitch had today off of work and we didn't want to sit around the house all day, so we decided to go bowling. It had been forever since we had gone and Michael had never been so we loaded up to go to Bowl-ero.

Michael was so excited. Here he is getting ready to bowl for his very first time. He is so cute!

Here he is retrieving his ball to bowl for his 2nd time.

He insisted on carrying his ball all by himself. He would not let Mitch or me help him. He is pretty strong. It was a 6 pound ball. (I used an 8 pounder.)

I had to snap a picture of his name on the scoreboard.

Mitch and I each wanted to have our excitement captured on camera as well. :)

And Kelli wanted to join in on the action.

It was a pretty fun day. Although, I have to say that I am a little embarrassed. Here is the scoreboard from our first game. Michael is player #1, I am player #2, and Mitch is player #3. Notice the scores.

Yes, Michael WON the first game!

Game #2
Mitch won this game, but Michael beat me.

And game #3

I finally broke 100! And I didn't come in last!
It is pretty pathetic when your 3 year old beats you 2 out of 3 games.
Today was a fun day, and Michael has been talking about it all night. He says he wants to "play bowling" again soon! We just may Michael. I need to redeem myself!

Big Little Boy

Kelli has decided that she doesn't like the exersaucer anymore, so Michael decided he would use it! He is a little too big for it now.

Like Father, Like Daughter

People tell me Kelli looks like me, but this is definitely something that she gets from her Dad.
She found this empty Pepsi can in the trash can and was fascinated by it.
I am just glad that it was empty. She probably would have guzzled it.

Spaghetti-O's

Kelli is Little Miss Independent when it comes to eating. She will only eat things that she can feed herself. Even if it is something that requires a spoon, she insists on using her hands. It can get quite messy, but it is the only way I can get her to eat anything. This is a few days ago during her lunch.

Mmmmm, good!
